The Music Meme!

I've been tagged! I've been tagged! I never get tagged for these things, and although I know many people don't like doing them, somehow not getting tagged always makes me feel like a kid in gym class on kick ball day. So thanks, Erin, and I'm sorry this has taken a little while. (Darn it! When am I going to my Internet service back at home?)

What song is in your head?
This is going to sound really pretentious, but I have been listening to a 1963 recording of the operetta "The Merry Widow" in the much more fun German form (Die lustige Mitwe) the first song has so many great parts to let your voice go. Verehrteste Damen und Herren

What is the newest album in your collection?
Same CD as above. Bought at my local used CD store for $5.99 when what I was really looking for was "The Drowsy Chaperone" -- which of course they didn't have.

What is the top album on your wish list?
See the CD above that I have been looking for. Right now I don't have a lot of wishes for new music -- rather I am looking for CDs that I have lost. For example, where is the Miles Davis CD that I listened to while I was in labor with Stevie? Where is that Stanton Moore CD that I bought Don for Christmas with that song that I really like that maybe I should have used to answer number 1 with because it is always in my head?

What is the most recent live music event you have attended?
A few weeks ago a friend from high school called to let me know that her band Raging Geisha was coming to our town for the first time. I hadn't seen her since graduation. It was very cool, she was a total rock star and her band was MUCH better than I thought it would be. They were great. Don't forget that you heard about them hear first. If you follow the link to the website, don't be turned off by the fact that she is pretty much just wearing a bra in the picture. She wears really cute clothes in person.

What is the top live music event on your wish list?
Right now it would be to get up to NYC for a week and hit all the shows that I have missed. There are so many great shows playing that I haven't seen.
Also, it's not live music, but Ian McKellen is touring right now with the Royal Shakespeare Company doing King Lear and The Seagull. I want more than anything to see that.

What are the top three albums currently in rotation at your house?
1. Happy Fun Times -- Stevie's favorite songs
2. Happy Fun Times -- Don Mix 14
3. Happy Fun Times -- Kryss Still Can't Sing
When Don bought me video editing equipment a few years ago, we decided to name our production company "Happy Fun Times". Every CD or DVD we create is always a "Happy Fun Times Production". These three CDs are mix CDs that we have created with a bunch of our favorite songs. When I have them in front of me (and not in the car) I will give a run down of what is actually on them.

My turn to tag. And . . . I have been called into court. Tagging tomorrow.
